“Friends For Life"
- Calgary Health Trust
With the successful completion
of the initial $2 million capital campaign and the opening of the centre,
the Friends have worked closely with Carewest Colonel Belcher staff to
identify other needs. One of these, a new bus for the residents was purchased
by the Friends jointly with the Nickle Family Foundation. Patio furniture
was purchased, and a gazebo and fence built.

In addition, it is important to establish a fund of undesignated dollars
that will provide assurance that emerging needs are readily met.
Donations to the Friends of the Colonel Belcher are tax-receiptable and
should be made payable to the Calgary
Health Trust – FOCBS Fund. (Registered Charitable B.N.

Gifts in kind are appreciated. However, it is essential that potential
donors contact the Carewest Colonel Belcher to determine what gifts are
appropriate currently. Tax receipts for such gifts may be issued by the
