In the prime of their youth, over 1.7 million men and women suspended their futures and willingly left their homes to defend and preserve the freedoms and lifestyles we enjoy today. They did this selflessly and with pride. More than 111,000 never returned home. Those who did come back, returned with chilling memories and hundreds of thousands suffered life long injuries.
Today, our veterans need your help to live with the dignity and proper care they deserve. The new Colonel Belcher Care Centre will give many veterans in our community a well-deserved place to call home where their sacrifices will always be remembered and their present needs will always be met.
