The
Wall is complete and no more bricks are available. Those who donated bricks were invited to submit short memories
of those commemorated on the bricks.
The Wall of Honour contains
more than 3,000 bricks each holding the memory of someone, some event
or some organization. Behind each brick there lie memories. To share
these memories with others and preserve them for future generations,
donors werer invited to contribute to the Book of Memories.
The Book of Memories is on display for the public in the reception area
of the Colonel Belcher.
Guidelines for the contribution:
Each must fit on one page with consistent formatting to be applied by
the compiler.
It may be up to 400 words, preferably typed, as long as it will fit
on the page. Contributions that do not fit will be shortened.
It
must be accompanied by a completed Testimonial Certificate. The Certificate
and Guidelines for Contributions may be obtained at the Front Desk of
the Colonel Belcher and at some Military Museum Reception Desks. For
your convenience, it may be copied from the next page.
It is the memory of the donor and may include as much or as little military
and biographical information as the donor wishes.
It may include a photograph, although this may not be returned to the
sender.

Format
Each contribution is printed on a single, separate page.
The first line is the name of the Veteran or Organization.
The photograph, if included, appears in the top right corner.
The inscription follows in the space to the left of the picture.
Below the memory, there is a final line “Contributed by his/her”
followed by the relationship and name of the donor, unless otherwise
instructed.
